Sandy has sold many styles of homes and is familiar with the complexities and the joys of old houses, investment properties, and new construction. Her personal experience as a homeowner, combined with 25 years as owner of Sandy Green Realty, Inc., means you benefit enormously from her in-depth knowledge of the opportunities and pitfalls of purchasing a home. Sandy has helped first-time buyers with "starter" homes as well as sold entire buildings such as Lofts on Arts Avenue, Artists on Chicago, St. Anthony Condominiums, and the Historic Leithauser Lofts.
Sandy regularly teaches home ownership classes for Northside Neighborhood Housing Services, the African Development Corporation, and PRG Inc. She has been the editor of two neighborhood newspapers and president of various neighborhood associations. She is on the Board of Directors for Longfellow Healthy Seniors, which links seniors with resources so they can live in their homes as long as they wish. Sandy is an appointed member of the Minneapolis Housing Inspection Board of Appeals and the Minneapolis Board of Appeal and Equalization (property tax appeals.) An expert in the field of tenant/landlord rights and responsibilities since the early 1980s, she works for you! Notably, Sandy is also a member of Horizon 100, open to 100 women who have achieved an advanced position in their field.
Sandy spends free time with her family and friends. She has won blue ribbons at the Minnesota State Fair for baking and artwork, and is an avid reader of books and periodicals. Raised on a farm near Dixon, IL, she graduated from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, and went on to receive a Masters Degree in Mental Health Education from Northern Illinois University.
Over the past 35 years, Sandy has lived in several different Minneapolis neighborhoods. She loves the city and all the opportunities for eating, entertainment, and education that you can only get in a large, healthy, metro area.

Meet EMILY GREEN…
For over twenty years, Emily has studied the real estate market in the Twin Cities area, consulting and assisting in hundreds of residential real estate transactions. Highly valued for her experience in the first-time homebuyer, and move up markets, Emily has an excellent reputation, and working relationship, with fellow realtors, non-profit agencies, lending institutions and city governments.
As 2014 President and ongoing member of the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors, Emily is able to represent the interests of her clients in the larger real estate arena. She meets regularly with policy makers to address issues and concerns of the real estate community.
Emily has a passion for community service. She completed two international Habitat builds and assisted in flood relief after the Red River Flood and rebuilding efforts after Hurricane Katrina.
Emily has also donated time to Hennepin Country, working with children in child protection. Awarded the 2007 Community Service Award by area realtors, Emily is grateful that her success as a realtor allows her to contribute to those in need. Emily and her husband Chris, a renowned jazz pianist, live in a Midtown condo overlooking the Midtown Greenway. They enjoy the restaurants, entertainment, and activities that city living offers.
